The Mackinac Bridge Authority counts the number of deer taken south across the Mackinac Bridge during Michigan’s firearm deer season. The toll collectors count bucks and does.

The station operated from Thursday, November 16, 2000 through Sunday, November 19, 2000. During the four days of operation, the MDNR checked 940 deer. The biggest deer observed at the check station was a Sugar Island 10 point.
