Mackinac Bridge Authority postpones decision on commuter policy
The Mackinac Bridge Authority (MBA) today announced that they will postpone a decision regarding revisions to the commuter discount policy. The MBA Board will meet as planned on March 20 in Sterling Heights for its regular meeting. However, officials want more time to gather information before recommending any changes to the commuter program.
“By postponing a decision, our Straits-area customers will save on travel costs and be given another opportunity to meet with us,” said MBA Executive Secretary Bob Sweeney. “This summer the Board will hold a committee meeting in St. Ignace before they make their final decision.”
The MBA Board set a July 9 meeting in St. Ignace where they expect to finalize revisions to the commuter policy.
