The shortest closure was 37 minutes on Nov. 29, 2001. The longest closure to date was 20 hours and 15 minutes in a closure that started Feb. 23, 2019, and ended Feb. 24, 2019. The average closure lasts about five hours and 2 minutes. Over the last 30 years, which is roughly 262,800 hours, the bridge has been closed 146 hours and 44 minutes for falling ice, less than 0.06 percent of the time.
